Minimum Wage Support for the second period of 2023 – Circular dated 01/09/2023 and numbered 2023/25 – published by the General Directorate of Insurance Premiums.
A new regulation has been introduced on Minimum Wage Support for the second half of 2023. Provisional 96th Article has been added to Law No. 5510 following the adoption of Article 17 of Law No. 7456 “Law on Additional Motor Vehicles Tax for the Compensation of Economic Losses Caused by the Earthquakes of 6/2/2023 and Amendments to Certain Laws and Decree Law No. 375” (published in the Official Gazette dated 15.07.2023 and numbered 32249).
The Circular of the Social Security Institution dated 01.09.2023 and numbered 2023/25 explains the application procedures and principles of the minimum wage support amounting to TL499,80 per month to be provided to employers in the July-December period of 2023. The Circular states that there will be no application requirement in order to benefit from the support, and that employers determined by the system to have met the specified conditions will be able to benefit from the support.
