Kadir Özdemir is a Senior Associate in the Corporate/M&A and Banking & Finance teams. He focuses on projects in the energy sector. Kadir joined Lexist following a five-year in-house general counsel position with EUAS International ICC, an international subsidiary of Elektrik Uretim A.S which is the largest electricity utilities company in Turkey. There, Kadir developed a niche in nuclear energy.

Due to his GC background, Kadir has a rare niche and hands-on experience in energy matters. Since joining Lexist, Kadir has advised on wind power projects, utilising his unique in-house experience. He advised project owners, public authorities and contractors on critical matters such as the drafting and negotiation of implementation agreements, project agreements, intergovernmental agreements and host government agreements.
Kadir has a broad and intensive knowledge of from both sides of the table in public-private partnership projects. He has advised public authorities as well as project companies on negotiation and execution of such projects.
Kadir offers clients his extensive experience on the internal legal management of public and private companies, including project and contract management and dispute resolution.
He advises multiple private companies on a wide range of transactional and corporate matters such as project financing, corporate governance and risk mitigation.
